Official Mute
annoucement:
Depeche Mode
return to the road this autumn. The band embark on an
extensive two-month UK and European tour in September and
October, with further dates in the US to follow in
November and December. The new tour is entitled 'The
Singles Tour 86-98'. This is the first time Depeche
Mode have been seen in concert since the summer
of 1993, when their 'Devotional' tour was seen by over
two million people around the world.
Depeche Mode will release a new
singles compilation album later this year; the album will
also include brand new material which the band have
recorded with producer Tim Simenon.
Depeche Mode have sold over 35
million albums to date since their first single was
released in 1981; their last album, 'Ultra', reached No 1
in the charts in 1997. The new album is a companion to
the 'Singles 81-85' collection released in 1985.
