vocals Depeche Mode Press Conference in Colonge (22/4/1998) - from Halo's page Official Mute annoucement: Depeche Mode return to the road this autumn. The band embark on an extensive two-month UK and European tour in September and October, with further dates in the US to follow in November and December. The new tour is entitled 'The Singles Tour 86-98'. This is the first time Depeche Mode have been seen in concert since the summer of 1993, when their 'Devotional' tour was seen by over two million people around the world. Depeche Mode will release a new singles compilation album later this year; the album will also include brand new material which the band have recorded with producer Tim Simenon. Depeche Mode have sold over 35 million albums to date since their first single was released in 1981; their last album, 'Ultra', reached No 1 in the charts in 1997. The new album is a companion to the 'Singles 81-85' collection released in 1985. |
